A comment on Hacker News made me wonder how well ChatGPT can write speeches for politicians. Pretty well, it seems. I tried three versions.

Version 1

Me: Write a five paragraph speech by an American politician at the opening ceremony of a new bridge. Begin with a self-deprecating joke. Then thank the fine people of the city where you are for inviting you to speak. Explain how important the bridge is to the economy of the area.
