As near as I can tell, no Japanese dictionaries define the meaning of the word (or suffix) 弾 as in the following expressions:

昨年春の「シルヴイアの結婚」に続く翻訳上演第２弾だ。
約二十年前から続く人気シリーズの第十一弾
日本の大衆文化開放4弾
県内五カ所で開催する地域シンポジウムの第一弾で、地元商店主ら約百二十人が参加。
「農政」を装つたゼネコン向け行政の第何弾だろうか。

This extremely common meaning is none of those given by 広辞苑

だん【弾】
(1) はじきゆみ。はじきうつ、たま。「弾丸・砲弾」
(2) はねかえること。はずむこと。「弾力・弾性」
(3) 弦をはじくこと。かきならすこと。ひくこと。「弾琴・連弾」
(4) うつこと。たたくこと。罪・不正をせめること。「弾圧・弾劾（だんがい）・指弾」

or by any other dictionaries I checked. The only one that came close is 三省堂国語辞典, which includes this sense and example:

(3) 手段。「行政改革の第一弾」

This example seems to be the same meaning as in those given above, but the definition 手段 seems off.
