For at least a
decade, translators have referred to Kenkyusha's New Japanese-English
Dictionary by the nickname Green Goddess, or just GG,
after the color of the dictionary's cover. Kenkyusha's publicity for
the upcoming fifth edition refers to that nickname, and the brochures
even show us what she looks like:
